Our college football betting expert gives his predictions and picks for Friday night’s college football matchup between Air Force and Nevada, kicking off at 8:00 p.m. ET on FS1.
Air Force suffered a surprising loss on the road at Wyoming last week as a two-touchdown favorite. The Falcons’ vaunted rushing attack managed only 171 yards.
That won’t be an issue this week against Nevada. Last year, against the Wolf Pack, Air Force rushed for 476 yards and scored 41 points, despite completing just one pass in the game.
Before facing Wyoming, the Falcons were averaging over 500 rushing yards per game in wins over Northern Iowa and Colorado.

Air Force is a 24-point favorite on Friday, and as we saw last week, laying a lot of points with the Falcons can be dicey. I do believe they will win this game easily, but instead of laying the 24, I believe the better way to bet their team total Over 34.5. Air Force has gone over that number in five of its last seven games, dating to last season. The Falcons have also topped 40 points in five of their last six games against Nevada.
Betting on College Football?
Some coaches/teams know how to defend the option and others don’t. Nevada falls in the latter category, so Air Force should be able to name its score on Friday night.
Air Force vs. Nevada prediction
Air Force team total Over 34.5 (-110, BetMGM)
