WASHINGTON — The Nets showed off their depth, winning Saturday in Indiana minus eight rotation players — including all five regular starters — and then swapping out their lineup to beat the Wizards, 112-100, two nights later on the road.  Granted, Washington played without Bradley Beal. but the Nets already demonstrated an ability to rotate in their subs and get quality play. They survived a first quarter that saw starting center Nic Claxton — returning from a hamstring injury — saddled with three fouls in a scoreless 4:44, while his counterpart Kristaps Porzingis poured in 12 points on 5-for-7 shooting.…

Green finance is the third focus, as both Singapore and the UK are known for developing innovative products in this field, said Ms Owen. “We are also really keen (to see how) we can harness the potential of carbon markets to underpin the transition, not only in our own countries, but also further afield.” Ms Owen called the developments at the recent G20 summit in Bali, Indonesia “really significant”, with a wide range of countries supporting the green energy transition with financial and technical assistance as well as technology. The UK, working alongside the European Union, is also supporting Vietnam…

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Patriots linebacker Raekwon McMillan was simply trying to do his job, running over to make sure that teammate Kyle Dugger made the tackle on a routine play. Suddenly, he saw a football on the ground. McMillan scooped it up and ran 23 yards for the touchdown, giving the Patriots the go-ahead score in a 27-13 win on Monday night over the Arizona Cardinals, who lost starting Kyler Murray in the first quarter to a potentially serious knee injury. “I looked back, saw it was just me and a lineman,” McMillan said of his mindset when scooping…

This is Maverick’s World and everyone in the NHL is living in it. It is a world in which every coach and every player now feels the need, the need for speed like they’re all in a race to become Top Gun. Take a gander across the Hudson. Once upon a time the Devils were typecast as the trap-happy, entertainment-killing antichrists of the NHL while winning three Cups in nine years from 1995 through 2003. Now, though, decades after being the poster team for the NHL’s Dead Puck Era, the worm has turned. For where every team once aspired to…

It didn’t take long for Gerard Gallant to rip up the lineup card.  That’s not unusual for the Rangers head coach this season, but it was particularly noticeable in the 4-3 overtime victory against the Devils on Monday night at Madison Square Garden. The lineup that took the ice at the start had been intact for three straight games, which had only happened two other times this season. The team’s sluggish start, however, forced his hand.  “I change the lines too much,” Gallant said. “I wasn’t happy and I just wanted to see what would happen. I thought it went…
