CNN  —  A federal appeals court was asked on Friday night to issue an emergency order blocking individuals from gathering at Arizona ballot drop boxes to record voters. The Arizona Alliance for Retired Americans and Voto Latino turned to the 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals after a district court judge denied their request earlier Friday for a temporary restraining order. “Absent emergency relief, Defendants’ ongoing campaign of voter intimidation at ballot drop boxes in Arizona will continue and likely get worse, irreparably depriving Arizona voters of their right to vote freely and without intimidation through the means that Arizona…

On the cusp of the midterm election, the Biden administration is not releasing information to members of Congress and watchdog groups about how agencies are imposing an executive order for an “all-of-government” effort to “promote voter registration and voter participation.”This month, another group of House Republicans sought information about Executive Order 14019, “Promoting Access to Voting,” which President Biden signed in March 2021, and a second government watchdog sued to get basic information about plans to implement the order. “Federal executive agencies, which have no business engaging in voter registration or mobilization efforts, as the EO directs, will surely exceed the scope of…

The Giants are playing a season that nobody saw coming — starting with their owner, John Mara, and the rookie general manager and head coach he hired to eventually make all of the franchise’s troubles disappear. Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll did not expect to chase all that misery out of the building seven regular-season weeks into their reign. But with a record of six victories against one defeat, that’s exactly what they have done. And now the Giants, an embarrassment for five seasons and a non-factor for 10, should look into a mirror and see just one thing: a…

Washington CNN  —  Former President Barack Obama on Saturday endorsed Karen Bass in her bid for mayor of Los Angeles on Saturday, saying that the Democratic congresswoman “has always been on the right side of the issues we care so deeply about.” “I am asking Los Angeles to vote for Karen Bass for mayor.
