Australian beer drinkers will soon see beer hit as much as $12 per schooner as brewers warn of the Federal Government’s second beer tax hike in six months.
It means customers will pay up to $1.50 more per carton of beer.
The Australian Brewers Association is pleading with Labor to freeze the alcohol excise for two years and halve the tax paid for tap beer.
