I’m “seeing the departmental tail wagging the ministerial dog” when it comes to Australia responding to our Taliban refugees, says Military Lawyer and Defence Academic Glenn Kolomeitz.
“Andrew Giles needs to step up,” Mr Kolomeitz said to Sky News Australia about the Immigration Minister.
“He needs to stand up to his department and say, well look if we can’t process the applications of Afghans in Afghanistan … and there are people who speak to their character and their credibility, then let’s give them these emergency 449 visas, get them out and let’s process them somewhere else.”
