Deputy Liberal Leader Sussan Ley says stage three tax cuts should go ahead “unchanged, untouched, as promised”.
“We have not heard an unequivocal guarantee from Prime Minister Anthony Albanese that – unchanged, untouched, as promised, this tax relief will go ahead,” Ms Ley said on Saturday.
“I don’t believe that he has guaranteed in a way that gives people the confidence and the comfort that they need.
“He might have it in his mind redesign it slightly and still call them the stage three tax cuts … that’s absolutely not good enough.
“As designed, as promised and as legislated by the Labor party, these tax cuts need to go ahead- and for him to change them, he has to introduce legislation that we will fight every step of the way between now and the next election.”
