Peloton is cutting another 500 jobs in a move that CEO Barry McCarthy said should position the struggling fitness equipment maker to return to growth.The cuts, which amount to about 12% of Peloton’s workforce, mark a pivot point for the company, McCarthy told CNBC on Thursday. CNN  —  A cargo ship was sailing across the Atlantic Ocean when the captain summoned two young US Merchant Marine Academy cadets to his room and gave them each a drink. Shortly thereafter, the students started feeling like something was wrong. Unbeknownst to them, their boss had spiked their drinks, according to a previously unreported complaint filed by the US Coast Guard. Louisiana’s treasurer this week said he will pull $794mn from BlackRock by the end of the year. Hysterectomy is the second most common surgery for women in the U.S.Researchers from CHU de Rennes in France have found a link between hysterectomy and an increased risk for type 2 diabetes, especially in women under 45 years old. The research team also found typical type 2 diabetes risk factors like high BMI and a sedentary lifestyle did not change the increased risk.
