A woman has died after a car crashed into a home in Sydney’s west on Saturday morning.
The 62-year-old was inside a house on Monfarville Street in St Marys when the vehicle slammed through a front room just after 5:20am.
Emergency services were called to the residence and treated the woman but she died at the scene.
Three other people inside the home at the time were not injured.
Police later stopped a woman nearby the home after she allegedly ran from the scene with her baby.

Both the woman and baby were uninjured.
Officers arrested the woman and took her to Nepean Hospital for mandatory testing.
The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
“Officers from Nepean Police Area Command have established a crime scene, which will be examined by specialist police from the Crash Investigation Unit,” a police statement said.
“Anyone who may have information, dashcam or CCTV is urged to contact Nepean police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
