Sofiia Karkadym, 22, has been seen at Manchester Airport as she returns home to Ukraine after being dumped by her lover Tony Garnett – who left his wife and two kids to begin a relationship with her
A refugee has now flown back to Ukraine after being dumped by the Brit who had left his wife and two children to be with her, it is reported.
Sofiia Karkadym, 22, was reportedly seen off from Manchester Airport by security guard Tony Garnett who ended their four month relationship.
She had been welcomed into the home of Mr Garnett, 30, and 28-year-old partner Lorna, along with their two year children, earlier this year.
The pair quickly began a romance but that turned sour with a series of ferocious rows and Ms Karkadym was arrested twice in two days, before being released without charge.
While Sofiia tried to rebuild the relationship, her attempts where rejected by Mr Garnett and she was left to pack her bags, with her mother Katerina telling her to come home to Ukraine.
But she remains hopeful that one day they can get back together.
“I have booked a return ticket because it was only a few pounds more than a single ticket. I can only come back if Tony changes his mind which I’m still hoping he will,” Ms Karkadym told the Daily Mail at the airport.
“There is no other man for me and I’ve asked him not to meet any other girls if he can help it because we might still be able to work it out. We can talk in the future.
“I love Tony more than words can tell you. I have told him that I am sorry that I have hurt him too.”
But she added she was looking forward to seeing her family again in Ukraine.
For Mr Garnett, though, there appears to be no going back.
Tony, from Bradford, Yorkshire, said: “I’m not heartless. I do feel sorry for her. But relationships do come to an end and this one is over. I hope we can be friends when all this hysteria has died down.
“I talked to her and told her that there was absolutely no chance of us getting back together.
“Sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind. She’ll be much better off in Ukraine or if she gets a new relationship, good luck to her.”
