A 52-year-old man was pistol-whipped during an attempted robbery in Brooklyn late Thursday, cops said.
The suspect approached the victim around 9:40 p.m. at 54th Street near Seventh Avenue in Sunset Park and demanded money, authorities said.
When the victim said he didn’t have any, the suspect struck him with the gun, authorities said.
The gunman fled empty-handed on an e-bike and no arrests have been made, cops said.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for a laceration, police said.
The incident came hours after a 29-year-old man was stabbed in the stomach during a robbery at 33rd Avenue near 29th Street in Astoria, Queens, cops said.
